The Furch Rainbow Series represents the epitome of Furch's craftsmanship. Fully customizable, these guitars have been tuned using their new proprietary voicing process, resulting in a tone that is even more crystalline clear, harmonically rich and balanced compared to earlier models.

Adirondack, (Eastern red spruce) was chosen for this build. This topwood exhibits a high velocity of sound and has the highest stiffness amongst all topwoods which makes them extremely stable. They exhibit strong fundamentals like sitka spruce but has much more complex overtones. This stiffness also provides for plenty of volume with a fullness of tone that retains clarity at all dynamic levels.

Adirondack has been the primary topwood used by American manufacturers before World War II. Its use was discontinued due to over-harvesting but has been reintroduced thanks to 50 years of regeneration and to the legendary status that this traditional tonewood has attained. The small size of most logs and shortage of old-growth wood conforming to market preference for even color and regularity of grain keeps the price of red spruce extremely high.

Madagascar rosewood was chosen for the back and sides for characteristics often compared head to head with Brazilian rosewood. Tonally, Madagascar rosewood offers great bass response with an exceptionally dynamic high-end often not found in east Indian rosewood.

This build exhibits the combined tonal traits perfectly. You will hear some of the sweetest trebles with an exceptionally articulate and dynamic mid range, and a rich bass end which will certainly delight.
