Martin started designing the 000-30 Authentic 1919 by examining an actual 1919 000-30 and cataloging every detail of the amazing instrument. From the premium tonewoods to the spot-on detailing to the historically accurate bracing and hide-glue construction, the Martin 000-30 Authentic 1919 is as true to the original as it gets.
The Martin 000-30 Authentic 1919 delivers no-compromise on quality. The top is built with solid Adirondack spruce which is prized for its projection and tonal clarity which contributes significantly to the 000-30 Authentic 1919's sound. It's back and sides are made of solid Madagascar rosewood reinforced with periodic-authentic Adirondack braces for an amazing classic Martin tone.
Martin Guitars has perfected a unique way of torrefying the top woods and braces of their guitars to achieve the sound of an aged and broken-in Martin. This guitar comes with the Vintage Tone System (VTS) which ages the woods to a specific age/time period without the change in color that typically results from the torrefaction process. A special Vintage Gloss Finish is then hand-applied to give the guitar the coloring of a vintage instrument. Martin's VTS series guitars not only look like vintage guitars, they also have that sought-after sound.
