TAYLOR 914CE 1999 ENGELMANN SPRUCE INDIAN ROSEWOOD (SOLD)
Among Taylor’s rosewood/spruce guitars, the 900 Series has always projected an aura of high-end sophistication, showcasing detail-rich aesthetic and the most refined levels of Taylor craftsmanship throughout Taylor’s glorious history. Pieces from the 90's especially, were built with only the finest tone-woods and pearl available then.
The premium pearl used to create the iconic Cindy inlay during this era can often be observed reflecting a myriad of blue, white, green and pink shades under daylight. The Indian rosewoods exhibit a light reddish hue, a characteristic often associated with old-growth rosewoods.
This Taylor 914C is no exception. It features a creamy engelmann spruce top with old growth Indian rosewood back and sides. This guitar has aged very well and produces an exceptionally balanced and open tone. The engelmann spruce reflects a gorgeous golden hue while faint hints of red can be observed in the old growth Indian rosewood.
