Every Maestro Private Collection guitar is one of a kind. They come with the finest tonewoods from luthier Hozen's personal wood stash and are individually built and voiced by him. His tutelage by world famous master luthier Ervin Somogyi and experience accumulated through building thousands of guitars over the past decade have earned him the accreditation of over 30 dealers in 17 different countries internationally today. Luthier-grade hot hide-glue is used on every Maestro guitar, resulting in a better transfer of vibrational energy which leads to significant improvements in tonal response. A dovetail neck joint further enhances sustain while a carbon fiber reinforced Khaya Mahogany neck provides for extra neck stability. Further upgrades often found only in boutique builds costing many times more includes a soundport, a beveled armrest for extra playing comfort, and a gorgeous florentine cutaway. The Vera scales things down without skimping on sound. On this special build, an adirondack red spruce top is specially selected to compensate for the loss in depth often resulting from a smaller guitar body. The back and sides is supercharged with Malaysian Blackwood which is becoming quite a favorite amongst several well-known high-end luthiers and it's popularity is growing. Denser than most Rosewoods, the sustaining, glassy tap tone draws comparisons to African Blackwood which is characterised by a deep and vibrant tone across a wide tonal range. Apart from picking a ton of tone into a comfortable travel size on this Vera, luthier Hozen have also handpicked a gorgeous set of tonewood with attractive dark streaks in hues of black and reddish brown for this particular build. The guitar is also framed in purpleheart binding and bevel while an intricate custom monkey inlay on the fingerboard completes the package. This is easily one of the most lovely small body guitars that have ever passed through our collection. The aesthetics and tone on this build is certain to delight even the most demanding player.
